Situated inside The Galleria Shopping Center in Houston, Texas , Aesop provides a warm tranquil atmosphere within the otherwise bustling shopping center. A seamless surface defines the interior of the space, with radiused edges transitioning smoothly. Precise extractions in that surface provide space for doors, ventilation, and lighting. Objects within the space are detailed to provide a sense of lightness.
CONTENT served as architect of record for the project. Our office worked in collaboration with MLKK Studio in Hong Kong to translate their design intentions into a constructed finished product. CONTENT oversaw the permitting and construction thorughout the process. This included the coordination of details and assembly of the CNC routed surfaces that define the complex forms within the space to ensure smooth seamless transitions from floor to wall and from wall to ceiling.
