Amelie was born in Houston and has lived in multiple cities, but has always returned to her hometown. For four years of her childhood, she was raised in Philadelphia, where she found a love for the arts. After returning to Houston for high school, she continued to develop her drawing techniques and became interested in architecture. While living in Austin for an internship with Page/, she was able to develop valuable workings skills that taught her processes for designing real projects. Currently, she lives in St. Louis, where she attends Washington University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Architecture.
With a minor in Creative Practice for Social Change, Amelie is also interested in how architecture interacts with the social and natural environment. She plans to further her education in sustainable design and is currently a LEED Green Associate.
Amelie is excited to see where her education takes her, especially through her future study abroad program in Florence, and plans for graduate school. Her favorite things about architecture studio are the friendships she makes through late nights and the countless hours of music she gets to listen to.
